Every December and January a dense fog blanket settles over the Indo-Gangetic plain, from Amritsar and Chandigarh through Delhi to Lucknow and Patna, cancelling and diverting flights for days at a time. The ten-year airport record below shows how many hours each airport spends below CAT I approach minima, when the season starts and ends, and which airports have the CAT III approaches that keep operating.
